A self taught artist...

I have been drawing since the age of 7, mostly during class like most kids. I just drew what I saw, from cartoons, to comics to the characters on cereal boxes. As a teenager I discovered Anime and Manga and adopted their style into my work. I even created an "unpublished comic." At age 18, when I enlisted into the Army, I still found time to draw.

Back on the civilian side of life, I kept working on my drawings getting better with each new picture. Once I started posting my finished work on social media, I got some attention from some of the subjects I  had drawn as fan art.  With all the reposting and retweeting, i wanted a way to find my work using a hash tag. Unique Artwork was already being used, in fact, all the cool hash tags seemed to be tied to more than one artist. I found an alternative with "Sole", another word for unique, and "Workz" just to be different, and so #SoleWorkz was born.

 

I have branched out from traditional art using colored pencils, charcoal, and markers, to the digital canvas. I am now using programs such as GIMP and Inkscape to create logos, desktop wall papers, and blend hand drawings with digital art to make  truly unique images. Art is my passion, and I am always looking for new styles, new techniques, and mediums.
